The relience on advertising and universal acceptance of it
Mark Anderson talks briefly about what he deems to be “the fall of web 2.0″ in this article on Adotas.
It’s a sentence at the end of the article that stops me in my tracks:
“The failure is coming from the reliance on advertising and a universal acceptance of it.”
I firmly believe (and I think that it’s no doubt about it) advertising to be a necessary cog in the machinery of media. But it is unsettling to see that almost every foundation of every giant service or investor on the net are gambling on advertising to generate their future income.
This would mean two things AD – INFLATION…
