Which side are you on?
During a peer discussion the other day it occurred to me that there where to kinds of people attending.
- On one side of the table where people trying to find the answer within the boundaries of their existing knowledge.
- On the other side where people looking for discoveries through acquiring new knowledge.
It didn’t feel like inside or outside the box thinking, it was more in the lines of: “I know I know already, I just have to look underneath the right rock” versus “I don’t know so we have to explore new things in order to solve this”.
It was a difficult meeting.
